Invitation Card
Swimming @ Hotel Intercontinental
Robbie's 1 year old party was held at Botanic Gardens on 30th May 2009. We celebrated again in his school on 9 June 2009 and a dinner with Seyu employees at Conrad's Oscar restaurant. Robbie really burnt a big hole in my pocket. The above invite was designed and printed by my brother who also dotes on Robbie. Thank goodness for photoshop cos if I have a 2nd child, I will just doctor the photos and invites and tell my 2nd kid, "See! You had the exact same party." Hehehe, then I can save a lot of money ..... hmmmm the poor 2nd kid hahaha ..... Anyway, s/he would not be able to remember .....
Since the last post, we have brought Robbie, rollerblading, a weekend at Intercontinental Hotel as well as an outing to Sentosa Beach. Bert and I want him to love the outdoors and perhaps, we had overdone it. Cos my Robbie gets bored easily when indoors and would run out the front door whenever he gets an opportunity. Furthermore, he scrambles around very quickly and this has resulted in bruises, cuts etc. But Robbie does not seem to be bothered by these as he is still scrambling everywhere. When we are home, we pass Robbie's care to one another cos it is just too tiring to run after him. Robbie is very naughty and I was trying to recall yesterday, just when did Robbie became so naughty .... I am the strictest in the family and yet Robbie is not bothered. Once we tell him not to touch certain things or say no, he will deliberately do whatever we had just forbid him to. Then he will look at us ... hmmmm ... I fear the future ..... hahaha Robbie's latest act is to climb up and down the stairs ... with or without ANYONE ... so my whole family is getting a weak heart from watching him or trying to get to him in time.
Robbie has a fascination with drawers, cupboards etc etc anything that can be opened and closed. He will go around opening and closing drawers etc and just a few days ago, he slammed shut a cupboard and hurt his thumb quite badly. So Robbie will learn his lesson and stop doing that ... or so we thought ... less than an hour later, he is back to his old tricks. Not bothered at all about his thumb. So the lesson is more for us as we are slowly discovering our dear Robbie's character ... He is not going to be an easy child to teach as I can see his stubborn nature surfacing and most especially, the "thick" skin. One baby step at a time I guess ..... for US!
Love ya Robbie Boy and Bertie Bert!! I am looking forward to another hotel stay hehehe ....
